Why Sheffield for your wedding?
Sheffield is where city meets countryside in the best possible way. You can have your morning preparations overlooking the Peak District hills, your ceremony in a converted industrial space, and your evening reception with the city lights twinkling in the background. The variety is genuinely impressive.
What I love about filming Sheffield weddings is the character. This isn't a polished, Instagram-perfect city — it's real, it's warm, and weddings here reflect that. The couples are down-to-earth, the venues have genuine personality, and the surrounding countryside gives me incredible backdrops for cinematic footage. It's a joy to film here.
Wedding venues in Sheffield
Sheffield and the surrounding area are home to some seriously impressive wedding venues. Here are some of my favourites:
Whirlowbrook Hall
A beautiful Grade II listed building set in gorgeous parkland on the edge of Sheffield. The Edwardian interiors are elegant without being over the top, and the grounds offer lovely spots for outdoor filming. It's a classic Sheffield wedding venue for a reason.
Kenwood Hall Hotel
Set in twelve acres of gardens and woodland, Kenwood Hall has that grand country house feel while being just minutes from the city centre. The combination of period features and beautiful grounds makes it a dream to film — especially when the afternoon light hits the gardens.
Baldwins Omega
If you're after something more contemporary, Baldwins Omega is a converted industrial space that's been transformed into a stunning events venue. Exposed brick, high ceilings, and modern styling — it's got real character and films beautifully with the right lighting.
Peak Edge Hotel
Technically just into Derbyshire, but Sheffield couples claim it — and I don't blame them. Perched on the edge of the Peak District with panoramic countryside views, Peak Edge is absolutely stunning. The drone footage here is some of the best I've ever captured. Rolling hills, dramatic skies, and a venue that sits perfectly in the landscape.
My approach to filming your day
I've spent over nine years developing a style that's documentary at its core but cinematic in its finish. What does that actually mean? It means I don't direct your day. I don't pull you away from your guests for endless posed shots. I capture what's real — the glances, the laughs, the tears, the terrible dancing — and I make it look beautiful.
- Documentary-style filming — your real day, not a performance
- Cinematic quality with thoughtful composition and movement
- Full coverage from preparations through to the evening
- Drone footage for stunning aerial perspectives
- Fast turnaround so you're not left waiting
