How Much Does a Wedding Videographer Cost in 2026?

One of the most common questions I get is 'how much does a wedding videographer cost?' It's a fair question. Here's what affects the price, what to look for, and how to get the best value.

What to expect from UK wedding videography in 2026

Based on current market rates across the UK, here's what you can expect to pay for a professional wedding videographer in 2026:

  • Entry level: typically newer videographers or shorter coverage
  • Mid-range: experienced professionals with full-day coverage
  • Premium: award-winning, high-end cinematic productions

Prices vary significantly by region, experience, and deliverables. Yorkshire and Lincolnshire often offer excellent quality at competitive rates compared to the south.

What affects the cost?

Hours of coverage

Most videographers cover ceremony through first dance (roughly 8-10 hours). Bridal prep coverage and extended evening coverage typically cost more. Some offer half-day options if you're on a tight budget.

Number of videographers

A solo videographer can capture a beautiful film, but two shooters give you more angles — especially during the ceremony and speeches. Adding a second shooter gives you more angles but adds to the investment.

Deliverables

A feature film (15–20 minutes) is standard. Highlight reels (2–3 minutes), social media edits, ceremony and speech edits, and raw footage are common add-ons that affect price.

Travel

Most videographers include travel within a certain radius. Beyond that, expect a per-mile charge or flat travel fee. Destination weddings will have flights and accommodation on top.

Experience and demand

Videographers with years of experience, awards, or strong reputations charge accordingly. You're paying for reliability, storytelling ability, and the peace of mind that comes with someone who's seen it all.

How to get the best value

  • Book early — many videographers offer early bird rates or hold prices for early bookings
  • Be clear on what you need — don't pay for extras you won't watch
  • Ask about weekday or off-peak discounts if your date is flexible
  • Look at full galleries/films, not just showreels — consistency matters more than one great clip
  • Don't choose on price alone — the cheapest option often comes with compromise on editing time, equipment, or experience

What does my package include?

I keep it simple. One package, one filmmaker, .

  • Full-day coverage from morning preparations through to the first dance
  • Feature film (15–20 minutes) — the full narrative of your day
  • Highlight reel (2–3 minutes) — every emotion, ready to share
  • Drone footage included where venue and weather permit
  • Digital delivery — download, share, and keep forever

Add-ons if you want them: ceremony & speeches film, second shooter, and social reel. No tiers, no upselling — just a clear package with optional extras.
