When Becky and Phil told us they were getting married in Sorrento, we knew immediately this would be something special. Destination weddings carry a different energy — everything feels heightened, more vivid, more alive. And Sorrento, perched on the cliffs above the Bay of Naples with the Mediterranean stretching out to the horizon, delivered on every level.

We arrived the day before to scout locations and understand the light. Italian light is different — warmer, richer, with a golden quality that makes everything look cinematic without any effort. By the time the wedding day arrived, we knew exactly where to position ourselves for every key moment.

Becky got ready in a beautiful Italian villa overlooking the coast, with the morning unfolding to the sound of cicadas and distant church bells. Her dress, framed against the terracotta walls and blue sky, was one of the most stunning bridal images we've ever captured. Phil was preparing nearby with a smaller group, taking in the views and the magnitude of what they'd created.

The ceremony was intimate, with a smaller guest list than most UK weddings — friends and family who'd made the journey, which meant every person present really wanted to be there. That energy translates beautifully on film. Vows were exchanged with the Amalfi coastline as a backdrop, the kind of setting that almost doesn't look real.

Afterwards, we walked with Becky and Phil through the narrow streets of Sorrento, capturing them against pastel-coloured buildings, lemon trees, and sun-drenched piazzas. Local Italians were stopping to congratulate them, clapping, calling out blessings — those spontaneous moments of connection that you simply can't manufacture.

The evening celebration was everything Italian — beautiful food, flowing wine, warm light, and dancing under the stars. Filming in Sorrento challenged us creatively and rewarded us with footage that looks and feels unlike anything else in our portfolio. A once-in-a-career experience. 🇮🇹💕
