The Story

About This Film

Jessica & Rhys brought their whole world to Wortley Hall — and we mean that literally. Their dog was there. Jess's horse was there. The Yorkshire String Quartet was there. This was a wedding that had personality in every single frame.

The couple got ready on site at Wortley Hall, which we'd visited once before but not for a while. Jess walked into the ceremony with her mum as the quartet played — an entrance that had the entire room holding their breath. The ceremony was deeply emotional, with guests reaching for tissues throughout.

Outside, grey skies and dramatic cloud formations actually worked in our favour. We captured some incredibly moody, atmospheric couple shots with the brooding sky as a backdrop — proof that you don't need blue skies for stunning wedding footage. We made the most of every dry moment, getting a gorgeous confetti shot outside after the ceremony.

The standout moment of the day — and one of the standout moments of our entire year — was Jess sitting on the back of her horse in her full wedding dress, with their dog at her feet. It's the kind of image that stops you scrolling. We also captured photos and footage of the couple with both animals, adding so much personality to their film.

The evening reception was held in a different part of the venue, with fairy lights draped across the ceiling creating a warm, magical atmosphere on camera. Jess and Rhys had clearly been practising their first dance — it was beautifully choreographed and genuinely impressive. After that, the dance floor erupted with energy and didn't let up until the end of the night. The combination of the fairy-lit room and the packed dance floor made for some of the most atmospheric evening footage we captured all year. 🐴🎻✨
