Laura & Ryan's wedding at Peak Edge Hotel carried an extra layer of warmth for us — Laura had been a bridesmaid at her friend Lauren's wedding the previous year, which we'd also filmed. Being trusted by the same circle of friends is one of the greatest compliments in this industry, and we arrived at Peak Edge already feeling like part of the family.

The morning unfolded with Laura and her bridesmaids getting ready at the venue, the atmosphere buzzing with the kind of excitement that comes from a group who genuinely love being together. Ryan and his groomsmen were preparing nearby, keeping things relaxed and understated, with the stunning Peak District views from the hotel windows providing a constant reminder of the setting they'd chosen.

The ceremony was held outdoors, and it was breathtaking. Peak Edge Hotel sits in an elevated position with panoramic views stretching for miles across the Derbyshire countryside — rolling hills, dry stone walls, and sky that seems to go on forever. The flower arrangements were among the most beautiful we've ever seen at a wedding, filling the air with fragrance and adding bursts of colour against the natural landscape.

Laura's walk down the outdoor aisle, with that incredible scenery behind her, is one of the most cinematic entrances in our portfolio. Ryan's reaction was immediate and genuine — the kind of unguarded emotion that you can't direct or rehearse. Their vows were personal and moving, delivered to each other with the Peak District as witness.

We spent the afternoon exploring the hotel's grounds for couple's portraits, making the most of the dramatic landscapes that surround the venue. The combination of rolling hills, golden light, and a couple completely at ease with each other produced some stunning footage.
