Watch Lauren & Brandon's Wedding Film

Our first visit to Van Dyk by Wildes in Chesterfield, and Lauren & Brandon's autumn wedding absolutely blew us away. Some venues look good in photos but don't quite translate to film. Van Dyk is the opposite — it's even more impressive through a lens than you'd expect.

Lauren's morning was full of beautiful details. She'd clearly put so much thought into every element, and we made sure to capture it all before the pace of the day picked up. Brandon and his groomsmen were getting ready nearby, keeping things laidback with that quiet anticipation that groomsmen always have — pretending to be calm while absolutely buzzing underneath.

The ceremony was intimate and personal, held inside one of the venue's elegant rooms. Lauren's entrance was met with an audible reaction from the guests — she looked absolutely stunning, and Brandon's face said it all. These are the split-second reactions that make wedding filmmaking so rewarding. You can't recreate them, you just have to be ready.

After the ceremony, we headed outside and into the nearby woodland for the couple's portraits. This is where the autumn timing became pure gold. The trees were in full colour — deep oranges, rich reds, warm yellows — and the light filtering through the canopy created this dreamy, almost painterly quality. We walked with Lauren and Brandon through the woodland paths, capturing them amongst the fallen leaves and dappled light.

Van Dyk by Wildes sits in a beautiful position on the edge of Clowne, surrounded by mature woodland and rolling countryside. The contemporary interiors contrast brilliantly with the natural landscape, giving us both clean, modern backdrops and wild, organic settings within minutes of each other.

The evening celebration matched the beauty of the day — warm, joyful, and full of love. Lauren and Brandon's first dance was one of those genuinely tender moments, followed by a dance floor that came alive with energy. 🍂💍
