About this film
Lewis & Sarah's summer wedding at the Walled Garden Baumber delivered what we can only describe as the best sunset footage we captured in the whole of 2025. This was a video-only booking that we filmed entirely solo — no second shooter — and it turned out to be one of the most visually stunning weddings of the year.
The couple got ready at two separate locations before meeting at the venue for an outdoor ceremony just outside the Walled Garden itself, in a beautiful area bathed in summer sunshine. This was the height of a genuinely hot summer, and the warmth and light were incredible all day.
Before the ceremony, Lewis received a letter from Sarah that left him visibly emotional — one of those quiet, private moments that we love capturing because they show the real depth of feeling behind the day. Sarah's dad's reaction to his reveal was equally moving. These are the moments that turn a wedding video from a nice memento into something families treasure forever.
The Walled Garden Baumber is one of those rare venues where every single corner offers something beautiful to film. There's a lake with perfect reflections, winding paths through mature gardens, trees creating natural frames, and flowers everywhere. We worked with a lot of shallow depth of field throughout the day, letting those stunning backgrounds blur into soft, dreamy bokeh. The results speak for themselves.
The confetti shot was a standout — one of the best we captured all year — but the real magic happened at golden hour. We took Lewis and Sarah out through the long grasses on the edge of the grounds and filmed towards the setting sun. The light created this incredible warm, hazy effect that made every frame glow. They were completely up for it — happy to be guided, happy to just be together in that light. The footage is, genuinely, some of the best sunset work we've ever produced.
We finished the night with a sparkler exit. Because it was midsummer, it wasn't fully dark — the sky still had that deep blue twilight glow — which actually made the sparklers look even better than they do in total darkness. A perfect ending to a perfect day. 🌅✨
