Stephanie & Brett's Wedding Film

Natural light is everything to us as filmmakers, and Stephanie & Brett's wedding at Rise Hall delivered it in abundance. From the very first frame of the morning, soft golden light was pouring through the venue's tall Georgian windows, casting the kind of glow that makes every shot feel effortless.

Stephanie's morning preparations were beautifully calm — the kind of relaxed, unhurried morning that translates perfectly on film. Her bridesmaids were by her side throughout, and the moment her dad saw her for the first time is one of those genuinely emotional reactions that you can't rehearse or replicate.

Rise Hall itself is extraordinary. A Grade II listed country house tucked away in the East Yorkshire countryside, it was famously restored by Sarah Beeny on Channel 4. The architecture is grand without being intimidating — high ceilings, sweeping staircases, and rooms flooded with that beautiful natural light. Every corridor and corner offered something new to capture.

The ceremony was held inside the hall, with the room dressed simply and elegantly, letting the venue's character speak for itself. Brett's reaction as Stephanie walked towards him set the emotional tone for the rest of the day — quiet, genuine, overwhelmed in the best possible way.

We spent the afternoon exploring the grounds, which stretch out for acres in every direction. Open fields, tree-lined paths, and a sense of space that's quite rare. The couple shots from this day are some of the most naturally beautiful in our portfolio — partly the venue, partly the light, but mostly because Stephanie and Brett were so completely present with each other that the camera almost felt irrelevant.

As the evening set in, warm candlelight took over from the daylight, and the celebrations continued with the same warmth and intimacy that had defined the entire day. ☀️💒
